When I am not at my desk, I am a photographer and writer living in the small city of Columbia, SC.

I use my words to share the lens through which I see the world and my photos to capture the moments that make it worth living.

I hope you enjoy them.

Photographing someone, in many ways, is to dehumanize them. It is to objectify their essence and offer it in a single image. It is to violate their own self-perception and present this in a way they have not, and may never fully see. It also is to read the language written so clearly on their faces and document it. This requires interaction. This requires careful analysis and reflection. This requires a conversation.
